FBI Destroyed Caylee Anthony Case Evidence

Caylee Anythony

Why does the FBI keep destroying evidence in cases, which is in essence, the property of the taxpayers of America. Earlier in the year, the public found out the FBI destroyed evidence in their very shoddy anthrax case against scientist Bruce Ivins.

A few days ago, the public also found out, once again, under Robert S. Mueller’s instructions, the FBI destroyed the file of America’s most famous newsman, Walter Cronkite.

Walter Cronkite

Now the public learns the FBI destroyed evidence in the case of murdered 2-year-old, Caylee Anthony. If a civilian did these things, they would be indicted for obstruction of justice and face years behind bars, yet the FBI freely does such things on a regular basis.

It doesn’t look good. It reeks of cover-ups and is very undemocratic. One expects such conduct in an autocracy, not a democracy.

Robert Mueller

Why is the U.S. Congress permitting such disgraceful conduct from Mueller. To any observer in America and the world reading of these incidents, it looks patently corrupt.

Heart-Wrenching Caylee Anthony Evidence Destroyed, FBI Docs Show

September 25, 2009 1:16 PM - ORLANDO, Fla. (WKMG) It was one of the most jaw-dropping, heart-rending disclosures in the case against accused child killer Casey Anthony: that someone intentionally placed a heart-shaped sticker on the duct tape that was wrapped around her daughter Caylee's skull.

The claim was based on a fingerprint examiner at the Federal Bureau of Investigation laboratory reporting that she saw the shape or outline of a heart on the duct tape.

But Local 6 has learned no one else will ever see what that examiner saw because all traces of it were destroyed by testing at the FBI lab.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office cited that report in obtaining a search warrant for arts and crafts materials in the Anthony family home, swearing the FBI lab "noticed residue in the perfect shape of a heart. The heart was not hand drawn and residue appeared to be consistent with the adhesive side of a heart shaped sticker. It appears the sticker was put on the tape intentionally."

The search warrant was approved, and detectives recovered dozens of heart stickers and the empty backings for heart stickers from the Anthony home during the search on Dec. 20, 2008, nine days after Caylee's body was found dumped in nearby woods.

But Local 6 has obtained a report from the FBI laboratory that reveals all traces of such a shape on the duct tape were destroyed by the FBI lab during a fingerprint-testing process and no photograph of the outline of a heart was taken by the FBI before all traces of it were obliterated.

Some evidence photos have been withheld from public release, so it is not known if any other agency took photos that show an outline of a heart on the tape. But there has been no mention of other such photos in any of the discovery released so far.

Without such an image, a jury will never get to see exactly what was on the duct tape and the size of the outline of the heart cannot be exactly compared to the stickers recovered...

Local 6 left a message with FBI fingerprint analyst Fontaine, asking why she did not take a photo of the image before conducting the powder test that apparently destroyed any trace of it. The phone call has not been returned.

Casey Anthony: WKMG says FBI destroyed crucial evidence in case against Casey Anthony

Sep 25, 2009 9:29:50 AM - WKMG-Channel 6 teased its big story by running a warning at the screen's top during last night's "CSI" and "The Mentalist."

There was reason for the crowing: It was an explosive story -- and another demonstration of Tony Pipitone's reporting skill.

The story led the 11 p.m. news: Pipitone reported that the FBI had destroyed an important bit of evidence in the case against Casey Anthony. She is charged with the first-degree murder of her daughter, Caylee.

"A blunder in the case against Casey Anthony," anchor Lauren Rowe said.

Pipitone called the evidence "one of those jaw-dropping disclosures" in the case...

FBI Destroyed Walter Cronkite's File

Oh No They Didn't!

Walter Cronkite

The FBI destroyed the file of veteran newsman, Walter Cronkite. How dare they! Freedom of Information requests were submitted after his death, pursuant to Federal law, as all privacy claims are released upon the subject's passing.

However, a letter was sent from the FBI to USA Today, in response to their query, stating Cronkite's files were destroyed.

The files clearly contained invasive items targeting the journalist, such as unlawful wiretaps, illegal surveillance, mail intercepts, his bedroom tactics, profiles on his family and friends, harsh critiques of his reporting rendered by delusional FBI executives that arrogantly fancy themselves literary critics, rounding off complete intrusiveness into every facet of Cronkite's life, from what he wrote and said, to what he ate for dinner, all gathered in violation of the Constitution and U.S. Code.

Said files contained inappropriate investigation requests into the newsman, by Presidents and politicians, too nosy and power mad for their own good, who also paid too much attention to their own press and that of their respective administrations.

Robert Mueller destroyed Walter Cronkite's file two years ago, discarding taxpayer property

To preserve the false image of complying with the Constitution and Federal law, the files were incinerated by the FBI, on Robert S. Mueller's instructions, proving once again, integrity is non-existent at the Bureau.

The FBI has turned the Freedom of Information Act into a complete joke and mockery, much to the chagrin of the U.S. Congress that enacted it, embarrassing it in the nation and the world.

One cannot claim a democratic, free and open government, when rogue parties in a federal law enforcement agency, routinely break the law, whilst hypocritically claiming to uphold it. It just doesn't work that way.

What's the sense of having the Freedom of Information Act in its current capacity, if dubious, deceitful, disgraceful men like Robert S. Mueller can flout and break it at will.

Cronkite records destroyed by FBI

WASHINGTON — The FBI destroyed its files on former CBS News anchorman Walter Cronkite two years ago under a policy that has been criticized by researchers for allowing potentially valuable records to be wiped out.

A search of the agency's main index of the subjects of FBI investigations found some records tied to Cronkite's name were destroyed in October 2007, the FBI said in response to a Freedom of Information Act request by USA TODAY. Cronkite's death in July at age 92 made any FBI files about him available for release under the federal law...

The FBI should have preserved records about Cronkite, who anchored CBS' newscasts from 1962 to 1981, said Scott Hodes, a former top lawyer in the FBI's records office. All FBI records on such a prominent person should have been saved under the FBI's policies, Hodes said.

"You're not supposed to destroy records that are historically valuable," Hodes said. "Somebody should have known who Walter Cronkite was."...

"They piled up the documents, and we (taxpayers) paid for it," Heard said. "With a lot of that material, the simplest thing would be to just keep it."...

FBI Has File On Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson

Roughly two months ago, I stated on the site, someone should request Michael Jackson's FBI file, under the Freedom of Information Act.

Someone did and yesterday, to their surprise, expecting him not to have a file, they were told in writing, the FBI has 600 pages on the singer.

FBI's Michael Jackson File = 591 Pages

Tuesday, August 18, 2009 - When I submitted a Freedom of Information Act request to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for any records they may have in their archive on Michael Jackson, I expected the agency would reply saying they didn't locate any such records, or that there were only a handful on pages on the late entertainer. I was wrong.

A letter from the FBI yesterday informs me they've located close to 600 pages on him. As I've learned from years of filing these sort of FOIAs, it's going to be a while before anything is released, and, when pages are eventually provided to me, they could be quite mundane.

Here's the FBI letter on my Michael Jackson FOIA:
