Miley Cyrus Voted Worst Celebrity Influence

Who didn't see this one coming. 16-year-old singer and actress, Miley Cyrus, star of the popular Disney show "Hannah Montana" has been voted the "Worst Celebrity Influence of 2009" in a pop culture survey. That has to hurt.

It's been one PR disaster after another for Cyrus and when you beat the number one train wreck Britney Spears for the top spot in the run amok stakes, just know things are going very wrong in your life.

From the inappropriate photo leaks to the scantily clad magazine photos, revealing red carpet clothes to the "Sex In The City 2" cameo appearance and let's not forget the stripper pole performance at an awards show this year, the Miley camp has exhibited poor judgment.

She seems like a nice girl, but nonetheless, some very poor choices are being made and it is adding up to a disaster. I dislike it when kids go in the wrong direction and she is at a very crucial point in life.

Her parents need to seek God's guidance, before their child goes down the stand Hollywood child star path of underage sex, STDs and massive drug addiction. No one needs that.

She a gifted young girl and it benefits no one to grow up too fast. I've been imploring the family via the site, for over a year, to put the brakes on the Miley machine, before it crashes.

I know Disney frequents the site, as they are routinely in the site statistics and I do dislike their company, as they are horrible and very exploitative.

So many Disney child stars have hit the skids. To employ the well worn legal phrase, "There ought to be a law."

Miley Cyrus voted worst celebrity influence of 2009

Wed Oct 28, 2:01 pm ET - LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Miley Cyrus, one of Disney's hottest stars of the past three years with hit records and hit films, has been voted the worst celebrity influence of 2009 by the very people who made her a star, tweens and teens, according to an online poll on Wednesday.

Cyrus, 16, took 42 percent of votes in the poll for AOL's JSYK.com (Just So You Know) website aimed at 9-15 year-olds, pushing Britney Spears and rapper Kanye West into second and third places, respectively, in a section on worst celebrity influences of the year.

No reasons were given for the poor showing of the singer-actress and the popular star of Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" television series.

But the ranking follows a year which has seen Cyrus controversially dating a 20 year-old model, making "slant eyes" in an informal snapshot criticized as mocking Asians, and being accused of pole-dancing on a teen awards show...

Americans Cooling On Global Warming

Al Gore: Oh no they didn't!

Global warming had become a religion for some people. Then the BBC released news last week, illustrating the world was warmer in 1995, than it is now. It pretty much deflated the tires on the global warming bandwagon.

Uh oh!

A survey conducted recently reveals, the number of Americans that believe, "There is solid evidence the Earth is warming" has decreased.

*Looks at Al Gore with blank stare* Suddenly that Oscar doesn't look so shiny. I'm just teasing.

Poll: Americans' belief in global warming cools

WASHINGTON – The number of Americans who believe there is solid evidence the Earth is warming because of pollution is at its lowest point in three years, according to a survey released Thursday.

The poll of 1,500 adults by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press found that only 57 percent believe there is strong scientific evidence the Earth has gotten hotter over the past few decades, and as a result, people are viewing the situation as less serious. That's down from 77 percent in 2006, and 71 percent in April 2008...

Support Wanes For Obama Health Care Plans

First Lady Michelle Obama: Not while we're in public, Barack, later at the White House!

A Rasmussen poll reflects, support for U.S. President Barack Obama's health care initiatives has drastically eroded, waning to 41%. An overwhelming majority of Americans oppose the plans, based on items that have been disclosed in the press and online.

For example, it was revealed yesterday, by the Politico website, there is a proposed clause in the health care plans, that would fine individuals a four figure sum and jail them for one year, if they fail to purchase health insurance.

Ensign receives handwritten confirmation

This doesn't happen often enough.

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.

Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it "Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold."...

Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Baby Names

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

If vain, adulterous celebrity couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt decide to have another baby, to add to their brood of 100, I have devised the perfect name for the little tot.

Since celebrities love giving their children unusual names, such as Rumer (I think "Chin Willis" would have been more appropriate) Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt could name their next baby "Arm." Get it, Arm Pitt, pronounced armpit (the body part).

Speaking of Brad the dad Pitt, his former co-star, Michael Madsen, recently stated, ""Everybody's had enough of Brad Pitt. I've seen enough of him for a lifetime."

Indeed, as TMZ ran a cocky poll believing everyone adored Brad and thus he could say and do anything he wanted and get away with it.

However, when they asked site readers if Pitt could say or do anything and get away with it, a whopping 70% of the tens of thousands of respondents, voted a resounding "No" which prompted TMZ to quickly delete the poll from their website.

Brad Pitt Slammed by Former Co-Star

Posted Aug 19th 2009 1:20AM by TMZ Staff - ...Michael Madsen, who was also in "Thelma & Louise," definitely wasn't joking around when he totally slammed Pitt to our photog at LAX, saying "Everybody's had enough of Brad Pitt. I've seen enough of him for a lifetime."...
